The Blood of Eden

Peter Gabriel Blood of Eden

Never let it be forgot
Between the real
And the imagined
Lies the shadow

A shadow where
I have seen
My words
My heart
Cast
Degraded
Regarded
As little more
Than filthy
Menstrual rags crumpled

Thanks
Should I smile
At the one
Whose fear induced
Corner cowering
Hide her shame
In a house that knows no victory
Save passions
So vital
They are to remain hidden
In secret folders
Sparingly distributed
As they are
Sparingly diminished
To the David's killing Goliath's
The lovers grip grew loose
To the inspiration of Blakeswood
Caught him in a noose
Or your dance
Of delight
With Mike
-elangello
In Sistine chapel glow

Is that a dagger or a crucifix I see?
Or did I create?
While I wait
-ed for a moment
of Forgetting
A moment of bliss

Somewhere is an Eden
And never let it be forgot

That somewhere

Sometime

There was a Camelot
